When I stepped into the industry, I quickly learned someone had already registered my name with SAG-AFTRA. So I did what I do best — I improvised. Rocky J. Parra became my creative alias, and it stuck: a name that still felt like me, but with the kind of edge my alter ego would’ve insisted on.

Earning a screenwriting certificate from UCLA and a journalism certificate from UC Berkeley allowed me to sharpen my creativity and skills, empowering me to craft stories that are original, impactful, and truly engaging.
